Joe's documentary for homeless life in Nishinari...Pt.2

Welcome back to the Joe's street life...in Nishinari.



Before the main parts of this one....he just briefly introduced


the facts..."there are lots of coin laundry stalls, cheap motels and


lockers as warehouses....in Nishinari" and touched some places like...


"the creche(Children's village)" which always opens as "evacuation centers


for...children who have serious troubles with their families and


parents....to recuperate their relationships or solve the troubles....


That's his sincerity for children...with just mothers or parents with problems...



Alright, let's move to the...."weird Nishinari"!!!



No.5 "Heavily armed police station in Nishinari...as bastion!?"



Because of the past and catastrophic "riots" and "revolts"....


the police station in Nishinari looks like...the bastion which featured


lots of cast-iron bars, walls and doors for the protection and deterrence


against "riots"....of course, police officer always guards the threshold of


it in every time....with some cudgels...



Why police in Nishinari armed so heavily...? There is only the area which have the


expectancy for "serious violent demos"....in Japan. Thus...sometimes,


Nishinari is so perilous like LA in 1980's....that's the only but scary reasons


to build the bastion of police there...OMG!!



No.6 Vending machine always purvey the "extremely reasonable..."



In Nishinari....there are lots of vending machines despite the unstable


condition in that area....moreover, they always provided the soft drinks


or sometimes alcohol ones in very low...or extremely cheap prices...


Why? Because....some products are nearly or about to expired the


"best-before" terms...and part of them are for the "hot one" in the


"cold spaces"....that's the main or trivial reasons of low prices....


Anyway, these machines always welcome you for provides of beverage...


unless you didn't care for some best-before or hot-cold transformed


reasons...hahaha.



No.7 "Very shoddy and cheap-jack promotion car by politician...?"


Or, just candidate for Congress...hahaha. Anyway, in Nishinari...


of course, there is the suffrage and wards for the election....


So, some candidates are promoting themselves until the election...


However...this "promotion car" looks so...weird? or just gauche....


The most impressive (in weird way) thing Joe felt for the car...is....



There is no "Kanji" glyph but just "Hirakana" ones....on the booths


upon the cars...as "い＊＊＊ひろし(Hiroshi.H...due to the privacy


protection, some of them were cursed...)...in rough writings.....!?




After seeking about his details...he is just the activist for the


poverty, and supporters for homeless and labor unions....


not the politician....anyway, that's also weird Nishinari ones..



No.8 "Triangle park...the piazza for homeless and one-day temp stuffs..."



Joe's favorite place in Nishinari....is Triangle Park....which is always occupied


by many homeless people and one-day workers...to rest their bodies or


make livelihoods of them....sometimes, he enjoys speaking with people and making


friends from them...frequently.



Oh, in the extra part in ending scene....there is some "safe houses" for


people who didn't have any space to sleep...thus, homeless people.


Once they wait in line...to get the free tickets for sojourning...


they can use the spaces which featured some...possibly heaters


in winter and roofs against rain....did Joe visited that place...??
