Nagaharu Yodogawa firstly saw the movie by Takeshi Kitano..."A Violent Cop"

"This is the first movie directed by Takeshi Kitano "I have seen"....


When I saw "A violent Cop", I didn't know about "A Mr.Takeshi Kitano"


so much...just recognized him as the person who is similar to the


 "amateur movie director"(he just notice that from public reputation)...


Just seeing the movie, I was so....flabbergasted.


What I was surprised by the movie is...it is actually "the movie" .


You didn't know my idea for "movie itself" but...


It was absolutely movie itself."



He really was impressed by "A violent cop".


Especially, he firstly lauded the chasing scene...


some detectives chased criminal who was addicted


drug user and had dangerous bat...


by running, not using some cars or motorcycles,


by the legs...citing the movies "Naked City" and


the series of "French Connection", he thought


Takeshi filmed this running scene from them or


by chance...coincidence, whether or not,


he impressed and emphasized that point


and he really thought it as "the movie!!"



He also mentioned some violent scenes...


as shocking and impeccable ones.


"Takeshi just showed those brutal violent scenes in


luxurious and fast way...not elongated, just


presented in minutes or seconds, ruthlessly...


That's so smart and adroit. I also impressed... "




This movie is the inauguration of deep and tight


relationship between Kitano and Yodogawa...also


adore and expectation as the hope of movies


 for Kitano by Yodogawa.
