Mr.Nagaharu Yodogawa feared and impressed Sonatine...as violent Yakuza movie

"Sonatine...is ,as you know,  the "Yakuza" movie by Takeshi. I thought there would be some
horrible scenes in the underground of Asakusa(Kitano used to live there)

...however, suddenly the location changed to the Okinawa with the blue,

purely blue sky, blue and blue sea and purely pure white dune(sand)...

and Takeshi described the lifestyle and character of Yakuza there...

It is very "smart"(aesthetic) delineation."

Sonatine...he really feared some violent scenes, especially

"the crane scene"

...some Yakuza killed the traitor by hanging

him and sinking him by the crane..

However, in spite of his expectation for movie whose locations

are changed in some harbors which has murky sea and horrible

atmosphere...

the place of movie move to the impeccably beautiful blue sky

in Okinawa that makes him really impressed by the contrast of

former violent scene and his expectation.

He also mentioned and give his encomium for some paper Sumo scene by humans.

Especially, he said...

"The scene of Yakuza who could go nowhere and nothing to do without

playing...just play some on the beach,  is...absolutely "poetic" which expressed

some mysterious or inscrutable some..." What a impeccable movie!!" "

In conclusion, he regard "Sonatine" as "the Movie of Art", "the Movie of Action" and "the Movie of Love story....and, he said in the end,

"Takeshi really comprehends and loves the movie itself so, so much...!!"
