Sowing the "rockin' movement" in North Korea...by Funky Sueyoshi

As the "communicant" of rock music and spirit in Asia....


Funky Sueyoshi...the former menber of "Bakufu-Slump"


which were so famous and popular for their rocking songs


with sometimes comical and romantic love or lost-love songs


and other times sarcastic and critical messages for society,


politics and problems...especially for mercantilism in 1980 as


bubbly economics in Jpn, racism in South Africa as Apartheid...


and objections against wars and nuclear weapons...



Sueyoshi formally visited North Korea...which prohibited any


adversarial cultures abroad especially...of USA.


Of course, the rock music that has offensive and recalcitrant


elements for regime...was also banned rigorously in this country....


Hence, the risk of expression for rock culture there is so high...


even somebody could be apprehended by rendering the songs...


against the government....



Nevertheless, he decided to go to N.K. with his instruments...thus,


the sticks for the drum...to organize the "legal" musical bands


that will inaugurate the rock music there...with some rapports


and arrangement for vernacular songs there...to avoid the


proscription...and without any political ambition and show-off


attitude...but just with the passion of music...



This video show some live performance by high school students


in N.K....they are playing the country songs arranged in


rock tastes with, of course,  some guitar, bass, keyboard


and drum...this is the huge step...to introduce the music...



Sueyoshi is currently and still active for his rockin' activities


in Asia...China (his wife is Chinese, which maybe help him to


visit N.K partly despite his national identity as Japan....)


Thailand, Mongolian area in China and some Korean towns in Japan...


His rockin' life is still and so powerful and aggressive...nuff respect!!
