Test "flight" of Super Maglev Linear Shinkansen...

Before the enter of factories of linear bullet trains...


the visitors who were going to ride them...for test impression...


were welcomed by heavy securities and magnetic gates like airports and


border customs...because they...Japanese Railways should protect the


confidential information and data of linear one and...the facilities against


terrorists...that is exposed and has the possibility of terrors which could


lead them to catastrophes.......



After passing the heavy securities, they were instructed by the staffs


in the institutes...about the details and future plans of bullet trains which


has lots of possibilities in economical aspects and as huge transportation....


besides the bullet trains and aircrafts...



As the instruction finished...they finally had seats of trains...Before


entering trains, they went through the tubes or tunnels similar to


airplane...yes, actually the trains were not on the rails....but levitated


by the super-magnetic systems which worked as motors for


trains on the lateral walls...and before and after levitating,


they landed before and were landing after the deceleration...with


the rubber wheels...thus tires.



Due to the test and preliminary models, the interiors of them were


very simple...with the seats, tables attached in front of onward seats...


and some open trunks like express trains...thus, they were almost


same to the current bullet trains...



After the boarding was completed....the linear train was activated...


before the speed was under 150km/h....it was on the concrete road


with tires....but once the speed exceed to 150km/h, it began to float...


and accelerate to 500km/h...actually,


Bullet trains in Tokaido Shinkansen has the speed of 300km/h...


Formula 1 cars are the 350 or 360km/h....and Indycars are about


380km/h on the Indianapolis Motorspeedway....thus, it was uncertain


and uncanny to receive the nippy velocity....on the ground with


little levitation...

the feelings of linear one were like...on the plane.


Actually, the whole cars are behind the rails...however,


despite the levitation which could not cause of those problems.


the noises and vibrations of linear motor cars were...so loud.
