Welcome to Johnson Town...the USA in Saitama...!!

Do you know or visit the American small town in Saitama?

Johnson Town is the answer where used to be the residential area for garrison of US millitary in Iruma in the past. After retreating from there, the homestead area was subdivided by the real estate and turned to the residences for Japanese with countryside atmospheres like USA.

The upper picture depicted the wholly managerial office of Johnson Town. They displayed the flags of USA to make the visitors and inhabitants be in American countryside.

The wooden houses in this area attract us like we are in the American village. Because they were aged and wanted for some bolstering approaches to pass the rules of housing law, lots of houses were already reformed and made weathered to sustain themselves in the harsh up-and-down temperature in Summer or Winter and rigorously gusty situation like typhoon.

Jerrycan held the road sign. That's so sustainable and fashionable reuse. I really love those American antique and rusty objects. That's why I often visit the town again and again even I have no purpose like shopping or lunch time break.

Of course, that's not just a object but works as sign for vehicle in the area. Only residents or some business related people can drive them very slowly and carefully for pedestrians.

That's so remarkably awesome texts. I could not pass them rapidly but see them carefully and keenly so much.

Blue-colored postbox is so rare and unique in Japan. That's probably original in Johnson Town. Of course, you can insert your letters or envelops to it as usual.

Finally I introduced this pic which shot the fascia of some restaurants, shops, bars and other offices mechanics and real estates in Johnson Town. There is so attractive for people to open their shops or offices. I had lunch in some fast food diner several years ago.
